How to get rid of stretch marks?

Is there a way to get rid of stretch marks completely? The best course of action is to avoid getting them in the first place, if possible. Stretch marks are scars produced by the body to repair damage caused by over-stretching of the skin, hindering the skin from returning to its original condition. This extreme stretching is commonly the result of gaining too much weight in a short period of time. Bodybuilders, pregnant women, and adolescents that have been through rapid growth spurts, often develop stretch marks.

Stretch marks are deep scars, or scar tissue which is tissue formed to reconnect the fibers that once where whole. The new fibers are not as functional as the original tissue, but serve as a protective, useful barrier and show up on the surface as stripes on the skin.

Scar tissue is the fibrous connective tissue which forms a scar; it can be found on any tissue on the body, including skin and internal organs, where an injury, cut, surgery or disease has taken place, and then healed. Thicker than the surrounding tissue, scar tissue is paler and denser because it has a limited blood supply; although it takes the place of damaged or destroyed tissue, it is limited in function, including movement, circulation, and sensation. Other than with minor cuts and scrapes, scarring is a common result of any bodily damage.

Stretch marks are commonly found on the stomach, legs, buttocks, and breasts, but may appear nearly anywhere. Extreme stretching of the skin causes tiny skin fibers to tear.

There is no known remedy to get the body to replace these fibers completely, so one alternative to get rid of stretch marks is to remove them by expensive cosmetic surgery. Another option is to use products and treatments that can help lighten stretch marks and significantly improve the look of the skin.

Depending on the severity and location of the scar tissue, exfoliation may be helpful. Removing layers of dead skin and unveiling soft, fresh skin can help minimize the appearance of stretch marks. You can use scrubs made with oatmeal or baking soda to make your own preparations, or choose from the many scented, specially prepared formulas available. Be sure to apply plenty of moisturizer to keep the skin soft and hydrated after exfoliation.

Different types of creams and lotions promise to improve the texture of the skin and make stretch marks less noticeable. Many will provide some relief, but certain preparations are meant for use only on newer scars. Using these preparations on severe stretch marks or those more than a year old, may not show marked improvement.

BIOSKINCARE is the best stretch marks cream for flat and new stretch marks as it not only dissolves any damaged and dead tissues that remain in the body but it also trigger the regeneration of healthy skin cells from within.

For older and rough, raised stretch marks and hypertrophic scars our ultra-exfoliating product BIOSKINEXFOL is a better choice as it is the same cream but embedded with tiny micro-crystals that when massaged to your dry and clean skin will polish the surface and breakdown the damaged tissues more quickly and will help the naturally active ingredients in the cream to penetrate more deeply where they will dissolve scar tissues and replace most of them with new regenerated skin cells.

For old and severe stretch marks, skin peels, dermabrasion or laser treatments followed by the application of BIOSKINCARE to accelerate fibroblast recovery and regeneration may be a good solution.

Those professional procedures are somewhat expensive though, and they can cause minor to moderate pain. These methods cannot actually repair torn fibers in the skin, but they help to get rid of most of the damaged tissues and may dramatically improve the appearance of most people's stretch marks.

Currently there is no way to actually completely repair damaged skin fibers, so one alternative to get rid of stretch marks is to remove them. This requires cosmetic surgery. During surgery, the skin is cut away; though in some instances, doctors cannot remove all of the damage. An added benefit of cosmetic surgery is the ability to pull the remaining skin taut. This will also improve the appearance of stretch marks.

 Testimonials:

I am 33 yrs old and have had cystic acne for 10 years. I did not like being on antibiotics all the time and tried dozens of other products before I found yours. I can't say that it completely prevents the cysts from appearing but they are much less frequent and much less severe. The cream has also helped the dark patches that appeared on my face while I was pregnant with my sons. Thank you for your help! Shannon Bloemker. MA. USA
