Weddings For The Financial Benefits Of Being Married
Weddings are a common occurrence in any family. We have all been to the weddings of family members and even friends. There is nothing like the personal romantic weddings of the days of yore when people were making strong personal commitments to each other. Nowadays, unfortunately we are finding more and more that the marriage ceremony is becoming less romance related due to the fact that people are getting married for so many different reasons now without love and romance being the major reason.
Marriage can be a mutually beneficial financial arrangement for those who choose to undertake it. For people wishing to purchase their first home, two salaries can be a boon that will allow new homeowners to more easily afford their mortgage payments. A financial agreement such as this should never be the basis of a marriage, however. Sincere love, devotion and commitment are integral to making a house into a genuine home that the couple can share for years to come.
There may be some pension and health care benefits available to a spouse that are not available to couples living together. When a couple gets married, they can then access the other's medical benefits. However, love and romance are needed for a relationship, not just health benefits.
Marriage is then either brought forward too soon or rushed into without sufficient thought or regard to its life long relationship meaning. I have many a times even come across young student couples who have decided to marry so they get assessed as being independent from their parents and thus ensure the parents do not have to contribute to college fees etc. (In some cases parents are unwilling to contribute even though the state assesses them as being able to and reduces any student grants accordingly.)
When it all falls down, however, the romance is not always totally lost. Many couples are able to still ensure that they have a flame lit during their marriage ceremony that ensures the sparks will forever be enflamed in their relationship. It is the couples that have worked at building these romantic relationships before and after the marriage that are able to rekindle their flame when times get rough in their relationship.
By ensuring that you are getting married for the right reasons you will ensure that you are going to take the steps necessary to encourage a healthy relationship that will last through the test of time. Getting married should never be just a business proposition and it should not be treated as such.
Without a romantic marriage ceremony a house can never be a home. One of the reasons why people are rushing to get married today is for the financial benefits of being married. If you get married this allows your spouse to get access to your medical benefits. Whilst not a bad reason in itself to get married romance and love really need to be present as well. Only the couples who did the hard work to build their romantic relationships both before and after their romantic weddings are able to reinforce their flame even in the hard times of their own relationship as well.
