' Getting an ex back' Versus 'How to get over an ex'

by Robert Sinclair

Love is on everybody's mind. I sometimes get the impression that everything evolves around it. 80% of what's projected from the television screens deals with the topic. Right around the corner is the next love series like the O.C. Even the history channel will talk about some queens medieval affair. Books are no different. The romantic section is probably one of the biggest ones and titles like how to get your ex back are readily available. In magazines celebrities are hunted down by paparazzi. They publish information about celebrity breakups and cheating.

But this obsession with the topic has been there for centuries and I don't think it will change any time soon.

Please don't think I'm against it. On the contrary I'm all for love and think people should talk about it more, but in a slightly different form. The topic should be discussed more in industrialized countries like The Russian federation and Netherlands. Because their number of citizens is slowly going down. Large number of people in those countries are brainwashed into believing that money is the most important thing. Media praises money and riches and pays less attention to love. There are still plenty of love shows and other romantic media. Alas, they show scenes of drama and tragedy, we don't see enough family happiness and unity. Breakups and unfaithful lovers are put on the spot light, while a simple happy family is considered boring and stays in the background. Same goes for books that give you the latest advice on how to dump someone or how to get over being dumped. May be we should see more titles that give advice on how to get your ex boyfriend back. In my humble opinion those things will do more good than harm.

Southern parts of the U.S have staggering separation rates (1 in 3 separate. When will it end? Those are mind blowing statistics! It is almost as if people give up too easily on their current relationships. May be they should stick around and work out the differences instead. Even if one of the union members is cheating, doesn't mean the couple has to breakup. What caused this infidelity? Is it something that husband did not do? Could this be a one time thing, that can be prevented if the couple establishes a better spiritual connection? In many instances it is a small difference that makes a big change. Many estranged women say that they left because they weren't getting any acknowledgment.

Therefore it becomes clear that we should value our partner. Let's concentrate on similarities and not the differences. Let's be understanding and patient towards one another. Let's choose love instead of hate. Because in the end of the day love always prevails.
