Aging Skin Care: Skin Aging and How to Deal With It

by Aileen Fitzharris

Sooner or later everyone is going to have to deal with aging skin. In fact, the sooner you start dealing with the signs of aging, the better your skin will look in the future. Because if you wait too long, not even the best wrinkle cream will help.

What Causes Aging Skin

There are several different factors that come into play when we think about skin aging. Of course genetics come into play, but there are also some acquired habits that can speed up the aging process. These are the worst culprits:

Lack of Moisture

Keeping your skin hydrated is very important. Without the right levels of moisture, you will be susceptible to more to eye wrinkles and dull skin. If you want to do something to counteract this problem, drink plenty of water, eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, and apply a moisturizer every day.

It is also helpful if you moderate your intake of sugar, fried foods, coffee, alcohol, and sodas. These foods are known for promoting dehydration, something you'll want to avoid.

Pollution

Being exposed to environmental factors, such as air pollution, can speed-up aging and counteract the effects of aging skin care. Factors such as car exhaust and smog can damage healthy cells and produce free radicals. This is why it is important to maintain a daily cleansing routine.

Excessive Solar Exposure

We were raised to believe that there was such a thing as a healthy tan, however, repeated and excessive exposure to the sun damages the skin. This type of damage is irreversible and accumulative.

Cigarette Smoke

Smoking is a terrible habit that not only affects your lungs, but also takes its toll on your skin - all of your skin. Unlike sun damage, smoking will affect your entire skin, even that part of your skin that has never been exposed to smoke.

The Basics of Aging Skin Care

There are several anti wrinkle creams that can help reduce your signs of aging, but the best step is to also incorporate the following anti wrinkle and anti aging tips to your weekly skin care routine. Keep in mind that prevention is just as important as treatment, maybe even more important.

Use a sunscreen lotion (or sunblock) every day. Your sunscreen should be at least SPF 30 and protect against UVA and UVB rays. Reapply often throughout the day.

Exfoliate once or twice a week with a scrub or by using a chemical one, such as AHAs or salicylic acid. People with dry skin or sensitive skin should use AHAs and avoid using scrub exfoliants.

REJUVENATING CREAM by BERRYSISTIBLE is an excellent wrinkle cream that contains both snail serum and strawberry seed oil. The ingredients found in this skin care cream help deter the signs of aging and hydrate the skin. The best part, REJUVENATING CREAM is a natural skin care product which means you won't have to worry about harsh side effects.
